JMoore Posted August 23, 2010 Share Posted August 23, 2010 I'm trying to install leopard on my Hp e9160f and failing miserably I was able to get Iatkos to install using the cpus=1 trick but after the install it wouldn't ever start the mac software. Ipc just wouldn't work at all Ikalyway was also a no go Ideneb seemed to work the best until I tried to select a drive on the install screen and it wouldn't see the partition. I'm hoping to get my version of Iatkos to work because it already has chameleon 2.0 added and I'm obviously an idiot and wouldn't be able to figure out how to add it myself. I need a tip on what I should put on the customization and anything else you can think of to help me get this working. specs are as follows Core 2 Quad Q9300 (Y) 2.5 GHz (95W) nvidia gt230 1.5 gig ram 8 gigs ddr3 ram Pegatron IPIEL-LA3 motherboard intel g43 chipset 1 TB SATA 3G hard drive Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n PCI Express x1 wireless card ALC 888S chipset realtek If you have any tips I would really appreciate it I've probably dropped 30 hours into this reading guides and trying my wits but I'm at a loss if you have any tips please feel free to throw them at me! You may not have all of the following options but if you do, then set them to begin with as follows ACPI Suspend Type [s3 (STR)] ACPI APIC Support [Enabled] CPU Internal Thermal Control [AUTO] Limit CPUID MaxVal [DISABLED] Enhanced C1 (C1E) [DISABLED] Execute Disable Bit [ENABLED] Virtualization Technology [DISABLED] Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology [DISABLED] Configure SATA as "AHCI" or Serial-ATA Configuration [Enabled] If JMicron present...........JMicron SATA / PATA Controller [Disabled]..........unless it works for you [Enabled]..... Initially do not choose video, network and audio drivers in Customise menu..........get the basic OS X system running first in VESA mode........
