blueice_haller
Hello, I downloaded the following ISO on the Internet: Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard My Hardware: Gigabyte EP43-DS3, Bios F9, AHCI Enabled (found this long topic to hack bios: go to thread) Intel C2D E7400 2x2 GB Dual Channel Interleaved ATI Sapphire HD 4670 LG GH22NP20 @ IDE Master Samsung SP2504C 250 GB @ Sata Port 0 (MBR, XP x64) Temporary disconnected: WD15EADS 1,5 TB @ Sata Port 1 (Data) ST3500630AS 500 GB @ Sata Port 2 (Data) ST3500630AS 500 GB @ Sata Port 3 (Data) When I try to boot the DVD I got the Error: Still waiting for root device Is it right that it only work if I flash Bios with EFI patch and format the Samsung HDD ? After I buyed the MB I sent it to Gigabyte because of unstable and at last no boot was possible. Then I got the MB back, flashed with last version F9. So I won't send it again with defect caused by bios flash. Today I flashed my LG with version 2 because it generally won't boot. Now I'm happy. And one notice: with AHCI enabled XP x64 will not boot. It restarts after loading acpitabl.dat . On my Thinkpad T500 the setup doesn't start, too. But iDeneb v1.6 Mac OS X 10.5.8 Lite Edition worked.
