Best news ever. Quoting a post from a 1005HA thread

Keep the stock card and install the following WiFi kext.
http://uploading.com...s/get/94fm2e33/

I can confirm that it works, posting as I am with my stock AR9285 WiFi card.

The kext apparently comes from the 10.6.5 update beta, so updating to 10.6.5 when it's released in a couple of weeks would see it working anyway, but many of us use replacement WiFi cards so we wouldn't have noticed. So thanks to whomever it was who discovered this fix.

I now have a Snow Leopard running, 100% working Eee as it was shipped.

Cool.

Best news ever for those of us not quite ready to switch our stock hardware out. Working beautifully...Thanks heaps.

Been using it now for a number of hours. The connection is rock solid, I have updated from 10.6.2 through 10.6.3 and 10.6.4 (via already downloaded combo updates) and am now just trying out Software Update to see if it will all be good there, too. If not, it doesnt matter, I will know how far I can go with it.

Must say I am really chuffed at finally having the native hardware working. This morning's check of forums was the final check to see if there had been any changes, before I bit the bullet and ordered a Dell 1510 half height wifi card. Can't tell you how relieved I am that I don't have to open up the machine :)

[edit] at 10.6.4 I was able to use software update. I should also remark that every time I have updated, upgraded or whatever, I always reboot the machine with my original USB install drive (a 16G USB key), just in case. I have not yet had to actively reinstall NetbookInstaller at all, or any of the kexts. YMMV but for me its just a safety thing in case its needed.

Anyway, as of yesterday, I have a fully working, fully updated eeeMac

I can confirm this works on the 1005PE! I am posting this from it xD. Just some side notes, it wouldnt work until i updated my iatkos S3 v2 10.6.3 installation up to 10.6.4. I upgraded through software update with no problems.
