Nenad_L
Hi everyone! First of all, i'm Nenad, from Serbia, and to tell the truth, i follow this forum for quite some time now... My first attempt to make hackintosh was few years ago with Kalyway, and it end up unsuccessfully... Then i found out of iDeneb, and shortly after this site... Because of this great community i never had to ask anything up until now.. I have two problems. One is with Chameleon, and other is with sound. I have installed Snow Leopard alongside with Win7 and Linuxmint. Main bootloader is Grub2, and Win & Mint boot fine. I fixed Grub so it fires up Chameleon 2.0 RC4 that i installed on Snow, but he wont boot. When i select Snow partition i get the gray screen with silver apple, but the progress thingy does not apear. In SL installation process i have made bootable usb stick with same chameleon so i know that snow i installed is working. When i boot i type hd(0,1)/mach_kernel, but same command is not working for chameleon that starts from hdd. Now about sound... I have alc883 audio and i cannot make it work. I found several kexts, but non of them seams to work for me. Or i don't install them properly. When i use OSX86Tools i can't select any kext, and Kext Helper b7 installs, but freezes when i close it. Also, there is two kexts for sound, AppleHDA and HDAEnabler. Is there specific order for installation, or i install them together? Should i uninstall something first? If it's of any interest my motherboard is Asus M3A, processor AMD Athlon X2 5000+, video card Palit 8600GT Sonic+ Thank you all!
