hi everyone, i've spent some hours trying to fake out the leopard installer in order to install leopard on my old 700 mhz 17'' iMac. i've tried Leopard assist, this code

dev /cpus/PowerPC,G4@0
d# 867000000 encode-int " clock-frequency" property
d# 867000000 encode-int " min-clock-frequency" property
d# 867000000 encode-int " max-clock-frequency" property
multi-boot

and this code

dev /cpus/PowerPC,G4@0
d# 867000000 encode-int " clock-frequency" property
boot cd:,\\:tbxi

but no one of the method above works, when i get into the leopard install it says to me that it's impossibile to install leopard on my mac.

while entering "dev /cpus/PowerPC,G4@0", open firmware says "can't find device" and while entering "d# 867000000 encode-int " clock-frequency" property" open firmware says "no active package"

how can i solve this problem?

Feffo,

I am using an 800 mHz. I tried the same work around. The first time I entered it, everything worked. I was able to open the Leopard installer and begin installation. But. the installation failed so I tried to reinstall. When I entered the code the next time, I got the same results as you. I have also tried rebooting with Cmd-Opt-P-R to clear settings. I still get the 'can't find device', etc. Were you able to resolve your issue and install leopard?

TIA
