Hi there,

so, i just installed iAtkos S3 on my PC

but i can't boot on it, when i boot with

-v cpus=1 busratio=20 maxmem=2048 arch=i386

the system reboots after a few seconds, here are the last lines i can read :

No SMBOIS replacement found.
Patched DMI Table.
No DSDT replacement found. Leaving ACPI data as is
Starting Darwin x86

then, what do?

Also, i have installed SL on my HDD from another computer, because on mine i get the error "still waiting for root device", and can't get rid of it. so i put my HDD in another computer and started installation.

Also², i can't boot my computer without iAtkos DVD in. When it's not in it, Chameleon boots, and it freeze after I press F8...

My specs :

AMD Phenom II x2 550

MotherBoard : Gigabyte 770TA

4Gb RAM DDR3

ATI radeon HD5770, the MSI hawk one

Hope you have answers, guys.

Thanks in advance. ;)

since you cant boot into OSX, use a livecd and put the kexts in the directory /system/library/extensions

then boot with the -f flag as well

when you eventually get to OSX, rebuild your mkext using the pfix utility (google it) and you wont need to use -f

also, on the system that got still waiting for root device, did you have the HDD plugged in at SATA0 on you MB

i have added the kexts with MacDrive, and I didn't replaced those were there already.

boot with -f flag, the system loads more kexts (like 4 pages of kexts loaded, only one page loaded before)

but i get the same error message at the end.

EDIT : so, i have put my HDD in another computer and Snow leopard works perfectly, but not on mine... ;) hope it helps.

i can't flollow yout guide, it means that i have to re-burn a CD, remake installation and i'm sure it won't work because i get the error "still waiting for root device".

no way to just get rid of this error? or i really need to reinstall?

also, busratio=16 doesn't work.

it gives me the same error, "still waiting for root device" :)

i have tried IDE and ACHI.

also, with my SnowLeo by Hazard DVD it gives me the error : unable to find driver for this platform "acpi"

what do now?

i can't actually boot in ACHI mode in seven, it just won't boot.

after truning sata to achi

you can use ubuntu live cd to know it

iwill you the way after trying it

wait

boot up using live ubuntu cd

and open terminal enlarge it and type

lspci -nn

you see all devices ids

you can see sata contrller achi mode id take this id

and then restart and trun sata to ide

and boot again as above

you will found sata controller ide mode id take this id

iwill add them to kexts and upload boot cd to you

good luck

my HDD is connected to the blue port, the SATA2_0.

how can i know my ide id in windows? it will be more faster to me, i'm on windows now.

and if we add to the kexts...it means that i have to re burn a DVD? because i have only two DVDs there :)

i think it will be

1002:439c

so

i think you have problem

on where you put sata

so

tell me what is your dvd drive sata or ide

and where you connected it
