I Had Leopard 10.5.8 installed on my Acer Extensa 5620Z and power management was working, I had a battery icon at the top of the screen, and if I clicked it, I could choose between Maximum Performance, Standard or Max. Energy Saving.

But now, after installing Snow Leopard 10.6.4 these options seem to be gone :( All the information I get when I click the icon is the battery status, power source, the "Show" sub-menu (so you can choose how do you want it to be displayed) and the Energy Saving Preferences, that only allow me to set the time before it goes to sleep and the screen luminosity.

So... is there any way that I can get it to have the same settings as on Leopard 10.5.8 ?? (Where you could choose the performance level: Maximum Performance, Standard or Max. Energy Saving.)

Any help would be appreciated :D

And thanks in advance.

EDIT: Sorry for the double topic, when I posted it for the first time, it gave me an error so I thought it didn't post
