Hello, I have a HP mini 110 like (1150BR) and I couldn't get the WiFi (broadcom 4315) working.

I've tryed to replace the card with a 4311 from a random computer, but the system failed to boot. I tryed to edit the bios file in order to change the devices whitelist (changed the device id from 4315 to 4311) but it didn't work (it has the .17 bios version). Even after the patch the 4315 was still working and with the 4311 didn't boot.

Does anyone know if I place a 4311 from another HP laptop it will work (maybe a subsys check)? I've read people using the card from HP mini 1000 to get it working w/o bios patching, what card comes with mini 1000?

normally in 10.6 and installing NBI you wont have problems with this card....
if you change the id,you have to change the "4318" in "4315" and not the 4311

Any tips for getting to 10.6? I just bought myself an HP mini 110, but I can't seem to find anything on 10.6 for it, though a lot of people seem to have it (at least in their signatures). I know 10.5 is easily doable, but I figure I'd try and go straight to 10.6 if I can!

Thanks pateras, I changed the 4315 to 4311 in bios devices whitelist cause I replaced the card with a 4311.

I'm going to give a try on these:

As soon as I test it I'll report in here =)
