Hello everybody,

I recentely bought a netgear WN311B PCI wireless adapter. It is recognized as an airport card but... I have constantly connections drop out. When I turn on airport the computer see around 10 networks, after some time (it can be a few second to a few minutes) he does see only a couple of network or even none. Changing the direction of the antenna doesn't change anything.

When I am connecting w/ my PC everything works...

I am runing Tiger 10.4.11 w/ the lastest update. on an asus P4P800 w/ a P4 3Ghz

I was using an asus WL167G with the ralink R71 chipset and things were working fine (excepte WPA)

I search all the internet and didn't find anything... Does somoene can help me???

Thanks.

I can confirm this issue, and it happens on Snow Leopard 10.6.4 as well. I've been using the generic Broadcom kexts to get it working, and it did work for several months until just recently. Now it can find wireless networks and appear to temporarily connect, but then almost immediately drops out.

There seems to have been issues with this on the Windows side too, it's all over the Netgear forums.
