Swad
Not sure how well OS X would run on it... but it'd be a cool one to mod! -Mash
sandmanfvrga
I got a PowerMac G3 400MHZ with originally 256 megs ram and I added 128 megs. I ran 10.3.5 fine and 10.3.9 ran good with the extra ram. I think that machine will be fine for web surfing, playing music, copying cds, copying some dvds (may be slow) and general stuff. Don't expect high end audio/video editing though. With that ram, you should be able to run 10.4.whatever. Good luck on the bidding.
merak
well people is crazy....a guy from uk sells an ibook g4 at 75 euros for this reason "i have bought this item not knowing it had passwords on it which were unknown. in good condition all working boots up 2 user names and cannot get no further due to password protected. so there for i am selling this item for spares and repairs." and the pics are very cool, all positive feedbacks... what do u think?? ok maybe it's better to leave the cube where it is i wanted something nice to place in the living room for my mom since my pc is in the bedroom

sandmanfvrga
Wow, nice deal again. If he gives you TRUE OSX install discs, then it is fine. If not, buy some 10.3 discs off ebay, I did, and then reinstall completely.
Colonel
if you're having password problems, just reinstall OS X.

The man is a damn retard if he doesn't know how to reinstall an OS or ask the question "So what is the password to get in here, just in case I need it?" That one question alone should be a standard question when buying any used computer: Mac, Windows, or Linux.

Then there were none.
na not me, its probably stolen from what i can gather from how he is going about it. What person buys a computer and doesent ask for passwords, and what person wont take it into a pc shop.

sandwer
Not sure how well OS X would run on it... but it'd be a cool one to mod! -Mash OS X will run just fine on it - even if you are limited to the stock configuration - 450/500mhz cpu and an ATI Rage. No CI/QE, but thats why you then stick 1.5gb ram in it, upgrade the CPU - at least a 1.2 - and stick a modded nVidia in it. Seriously, it outperforms my hackintosh - or it feels that way. When it finally runs out of puff, I reckon a mac mini's innards will fit in there quite nicely ;-) And it has the coolest case ever. I'll brook no argument //R
