fleggyCakes
I built a Hack Pro system a couple months ago, and performance / stability has generally been fantastic, everything works as it should - except for one thing. I have a Solid State Drive that I'd like to use as a scratch disk, but it randomly disconnects, giving me the usual warning about ejecting a disk before you unplug it. Definitely a problem - Photoshop is not a happy camper when its scratch volume disappears. Sometimes it shows back up in a few seconds or minutes, sometimes it shows back up after putting the system to sleep and waking it again, and rarely a full reboot is required for it to reappear. System specs: -Asus P7P55D Pro -Core i5 750 -8gb Crucial 1600 RAM -GeForce GTS 250 -Imation branded MTron mobi 3000 32gb SSD -OSX 10.6.4 (problem also happened when I was on 10.6.3) -DSDT from the database on tonymac's site (DSDT I'm using for this mobo is listed as Vanilla, not sure if that could be a problem) -Installed extensions: fakesmc, JMicron36xATA, JMicron36xSATA, LegacyAppleRTC If I instead hook up a real hard disk (an older WD Raptor) in this system on the same SATA connector, that works fine. Also, this SSD works fine as a second disk in my Macbook Pro. I've done some searching and haven't been able to find anything, so if anyone has any thoughts I would really appreciate hearing them.
