Dragon Posted July 17, 2006 Share Posted July 17, 2006 OK, so i've installed Apple's distribution of darwin version 1.4. Install went perfect and startx loaded the desktop perfectly. Now I would like to install oroborOSX. This is my first experience with Darwin, and was wondering if anyone knew how to install things. All i have at the moment is some very basic desktop with 3 xterm windows and a clock. Can someone tell me how I am supposed to install at least a webbrowser or something so I can download applications. I've tried commands like apt-get, pkg_add, nothing happens. I saw a tool called fink that allows you to download packages but I don't know how to get it onto my pc! If someone could share their knowledge on how to get darwin up and running with oroborOSX window manager I would be very grateful.
