AREOS Posted July 16, 2006 Share Posted July 16, 2006 Hi I want to use my Hackintosh to capture and edit video, my firewire port is reconized and appers in the system profile, but when I connect my Samsung scd-27, the system profile says "unknow device" and nothing happens, in windows my camcorder works fine, in the manual says that is MacOS X compatible. Why doesn´t work? Is there any with the same problem? I don have another device to probe the firewire port under MacOS X86 Please help.. Why doesn´t work? Is there any with the same problem? Please help.. My System specs are is Pentium D 2.8Ghz CPU Asus P5GZMX motherboard 1 GB DDR2 RAM 120 GB PATA HDD Realtek 883 chipset Onboard Sound Marvell Yukon Onboard Ethernet Via Chipset FIREWIRE PCI Card All hardware work perfectly in MACOSX 10.4.9 but without Capturing I dont do anything in Editing in FCP6. please help me................ please help.............. Hey I was having the same problem with it not recognizing my cannon gl2, but the firewire port was good because it recognized my Maxtor One touch HD. I just used the open firewire port on the maxtor and then my camera was recognized by final cut express 4. Thanks!
