Font Rendering

I really can't stand the way Mac renders font, and i'm out of luck trying to tweak it.

I suspect with hardware everything is ok. I have tried different drivers for my 9600 GT card,

NVinject,NVEnabler,NVdarwin, or even with EFI strings. That doesn't make any difference, fonts looks the same.

I'm using Native resolution (1920x1080).

So did some research, and found there is a manual way to tweak it:

defaults -currentHost write -globalDomain AppleFontSmoothing -int [0:3]

where 0 off, and 3 strongest.

Generally, it doesn't make actual difference, the fonts still looks the same.

Anyway, the question:

Is there any know methods, to tweak font rendering, for example: ClearType powertools (In Windows XP)

Where i can select rendering methods, and choose the one i like most.

If you know any other ways, to tweak, improve, change font rendering, please, let me know. Thanks
