I am unable to configure my external HDD at a backup disk for Time Machine because there are no hackintosh drivers for my Intel 3945 wireless card! I had no idea AirPort was needed to backup files onto an external HDD connected by USB, is it going to telepathically write the bits onto the damn drive using quantum tunnelling? Or am I missing the point of Time Machine?

By the way, if Time Machine is only meant to backup files onto wireless sources such as iDisk or Firewire or whatever, why does it give me my external HDD as an option? And still for configuration to fail because I have no AirPort?
