rayray81502
Did you try to repear the permitions after installing the kext/s ? Hi! I repeat kext using a tool called kext utility , it says "repair permition..." everytime... But I will have a try to set the permition manually to see if it is the point. Did you try to repear the permitions after installing the kext/s ? it seems that the tool did its work very well: ay-zhous-macbook:Extensions rayzhou$ ls -l AppleIntelGMA* AppleIntelGMA950.kext: total 0 drwxr-xr-x@ 11 root wheel 374 28 Apr 11:14 Contents AppleIntelGMA950.kext.bak: total 0 drwxr-xr-x@ 11 root wheel 374 27 Apr 17:17 Contents AppleIntelGMA950GA.plugin: total 0 drwxr-xr-x@ 8 root wheel 272 27 Apr 16:59 Contents AppleIntelGMA950GLDriver.bundle: total 0 drwxr-xr-x@ 8 root wheel 272 27 Apr 17:02 Contents AppleIntelGMA950VADriver.bundle: total 0 drwxr-xr-x@ 8 root wheel 272 27 Apr 16:58 Contents ray-zhous-macbook:Extensions rayzhou$ any other advice please? glitch003
I have this same problem. With lspci I can clearly see that I have an 27ae card which I patched the GMA950 kext for, but the kext is never loaded. I'm stuck on 800x600, and I've tried about 3 different sets of kexts that are for the 8086:27AE card that I have, but they're never loaded. I'm using osx86 tools to install them so there's no way that I'm messing up the permissions or anything. Also AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext doesn't load. What do I have to do to get these kexts to load? I know they're the right ones for my system but they don't load.
VooDooMan63
I seem to be having the same problem as all of you. I have tried like 5 different versions using OSx86 tools and kext helper. Always repairing perms. Dell D820 OSX 10.6.8 Chipset Model: Mobile GMA950 Type: GPU Bus: Built-In VRAM(Total): 64 MB of Shared Sytem Memory Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x27a2 Revision ID: 0x0003 Kernel Extention: No Kext Loaded Displays: Display: Resolution: 1024x768 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes I have used 10.6.6, 10.6.36, and 10.5.28 versions The other issue is that even though I added cpus=1 to the com.apple.boot.plist I still have to type it when booting because the cursor barely moves when it finally loads. It works. You have to boot in 32bit mode only. And some properties injection needed. Clover do this automatically. Not sure about other bootloaders.
