retroz Posted July 11, 2006 Share Posted July 11, 2006 Ok, for some reason your iDVD or iMOVIE no longer plays sound, but garage band as well as effects work! Garage band does not use the quicktime engine unless you include video or images, therefore, that's why it continues to work. Anyway, the solution is simple. Go to: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/mac.html Install just as you would if you are a first time installer, yes, even if your preferences (software update) shows you don't need to update QUICKTIME.
