Hey, could someone check my dsdt.aml file? I've applied some fixes, but dunno if they are ok, my system boots smooth, but has some infos which I don't understand in Verbose mode.

My config:

MB P35C-DS3R

C2D E4400

2gb ram

SL 10.6.3

CPU 8800 GTS 640MB

My extra folder contains only FakeSMC 2.5

Below I uploaded dsdt file modified and unmodified - that modified was made by one guy from forum, but it didn't help me.

The reason why I wanted to check that is my nvidia 8800GTS card and xbench openGL score (120 points) which is a bit too low imo. I use gfx efi strings in com.apple.boot.plist file.

All those files are placed in Extra folder on rood of my SL installation.

Here are DSDTs:

The link to your modified DSDT is broken. Why don't you zip them up in one archive and attach them here instead? It's much easier than using mediafire.

my system boots smooth, but has some infos which I don't understand in Verbose mode.

Could you post them here? Open Console and copy/paste from system.log

Here is my kernel.log, maybe it will help.

What should i post from system.log?

...and these

"USBF: 0.902 AppleUSBEHCI[0xffffff80055bd000]::CheckSleepCapability - controller will be unloaded across sleep"

can be fixed by patching the device IDs of your USB in DSDT like this:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=168014

The sound assertion errors can be fixed by not using LegacyAppleHDA, adding data to Device HDEF in your DSDT and/or bin-patching AppleHDA.kext. I don't know what sound hardware you have, the correct solution (combination of the above 3 things) will depend on this.

Thank you (again!) yes, I meant HDAEnabler...I'm forgetting about the stuff I don't use anymore. :( <-- brain cell

About the HDEF code, I mentioned it because I've seen different versions of it.

Here's what I'm using + a version for boards with Nvidia chipset and some background info as well:

I have 889A sound chipset and adding that HDEF (i've changed it with something I don't remember) + A889a.kext was the only way to have sound. You want me to chenge it something in it?

So let me get things straight - I have applied patch from second post and I don't have that error. And my processor is changing its clock automaticaly depending on his needs? I don't have to overclock it?

About device ids patching - there should be something like UHCI@1D,1 and I have USB@1D,1 and I don't know whats going on.

Here is decompikled file:

http://www.mediafire.com/?dy3tk3je44i

The IDs you should inject are 3A34, 3A35, ...

Instead of

		Buffer (0x04)
	{
		0x34, 0x29, 0x00, 0x00
	}

use

		Buffer (0x04)
	{
		0x34, 0x3A, 0x00, 0x00
	}

and so on...

once u get a DSDT.aml file.... how the hell do you install it? is it through Chameloen

Just put it in the root or Extra folder of your boot partition.

Ok so it put it in one of the files, do u need to enter any commnads to impliment it and if i have a DSDt file from someone else for my same board, is there a way to include the ethernet in it and then delete the ethernet kext and use it off the DSDT?

If it has default name and path you don't need any command. With this command you can specify alternate file and path

DSDT= Use an alternate DSDT.aml file

(default paths are /DSDT.aml or /Extra/DSDT.aml).

http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,351.0.html

About using someone else's file, it may work if it's exactly the same board and BIOS version (same CPU if it has inserted P-states, and maybe same RAM size). I recommend that you patch your own file.

About ethernet, I don't know about DSDT patch that makes it work without a kext. Only if it's a legacy kext, not the driver itself.

I'll try to change those ids, but as I searched for them they are ok for ICH9R chipset, but ill try. BRB in few minutes

Yes, the IDs you used are the original ones in ICH9R, but you have to inject ICH10 IDs to get sleep working.

I have the same error:/

AppleUSBEHCI, but its not UHCI so i tried to add ids for EHCI devices and still no success...

If I have C2D and have:

Apr 6 19:13:08 localhost kernel[0]: AppleACPICPU: ProcessorId=3 LocalApicId=2 Disabled
Apr 6 19:13:08 localhost kernel[0]: AppleACPICPU: ProcessorId=4 LocalApicId=3 Disabled

Should I edit something to make it not appear?
