OoTLink
The NVDA50HAL doesn't do *@#%. Interestingly, NVDA40HAL has a device ID of 290 , close to our a29 but still useless. I tried, no worky. What DOES work, is NVInject from that site. It then detects the 1024mb of the card and all, though OSX86tools doesn't acknowledge QE/CI and it's.. not working at 1920x1080. Why doesn't that dude with the 1920x1080 come along and show it? lol.

dancefloordan
For my Hazard 10.6.2 install I was having trouble with the first boot after the actual install. What I had to do was use Empire Efi, boot from the hard drive and then edit com.apple.boot.plist, after all that I installed boot think 2.3 and everything's working great. I don't know if that helps anyone but I figured I'd post anyway.
Mac Man 50
so, dancefloordan: that is awesome. which means all are working (GPU, hardware acceleration, Full HD) in the F11 series without a need for a external monitor? thanks.
giò49
I tried Hazard e install from retail, updraded with macbookproupdate. Full resolution 1920x1080x32 only onto external monitor (sony bravia connected via HDMI) . Aperture Work, Front row work. Internal display back. dancefloordan
This is true, I got the misinformation from some people doing linux drivers! The ALC275 can be shoehorned into the 269's driver but that doesn't work with sound input. Hey OotLink if you could do a tutorial on how to shoehorn the driver I'm sure that would help alot of people even if it's not a permanent fix. OoTLink
*removes giant rambling* I just figured this all out Give me 5 mins! I still don't have 1920x1080, but I figured out an EFI string to get the video card to be recognized
Mac Man 50
OoTLink: You're the man!!! . Feverishly watching this thread. Hope you give us a step by step tutorial for n00bs like me.
OoTLink
I have 3 possible NVCAP values I'm trying out From main BIOS dump: 0400000000007f00000000000000000700000000 From IORegistryEditor voodoo: 04000000000001007e0000000000000a00000000 From VGA BIOS dump: 0400000000000200000000000000000700000000 So what's the point of those #s? If you make a com.apple.Boot.plist in OSX86Tools, you can create a graphics string using them (and the custom Geforce dropdown choice). As you'll find though, it doesn't really do anything In fact, if you delete all of your drivers, use the efi string with that nvcap (one of them, anyway), you'll find your GPU is 'perfectly recognized' even though it's nothing more than a plain VESA detection. PlumberGr
which booter? pcirootuid? i have nothing sucess.. What do you want to know? Just boot with leo hazard DVD. That will do it. For installation and first boot use busratio=12, cpus=8, maxmem=4087, PciRoot=1 after 10.6.3 update you can boot with busratio=12 PciRoot=1 or just PciRoot=1 aaa and let us know what are your results with GraphicsEnabler=Yes

PlumberGr
I just installed retail DVD on VMWare7. Much much better resolution on internal display. No acceleration but internet wifi directly bridged. And it is fast! Anyway better resolution, than any direct installation until now, immediately.

gamester4520503
Installed Snow Leopard from the hazard distro last night - worked ok, but kernel panicked with the Voodoo HDA kext... installed the update to 10.6.3 from apple and now after I boot the osx disc, I just get a black screen. I deleted the sleepenabler kext, so there aren't any kernel issues. Any ideas?
OoTLink
Go into single user mode (-s) and delete the NVDA50HAL.kext and NVDAresman.kext files (If you're lazy, you can delete all of the NVDA kexts). At least for now, nobody's figured out now to get nvda50hal.kext to work with the gt330m.
Midtown
the gt330m from Dell Vostro 3700 is fully working w/ QE. don't know how this user managed that... http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1467850 Working: - LAN (native) - Graphic (native / +QE, full Acc + Res, with GraphicsEnabler=yes ) - Firewire (native 400) - USB (native) - Trackpad (native, basic functions) - Sound ( VooDooHDA 2.5.3 Snow Leopard) - Bluetooth:DellBluetoothHCI.1.2.pkg ( Skype + Logitech Headset = o.k.! )

Sadly I have another question or two Has anyone got the macbook pro update to run on the Vaio yet? I just get a system not supported message. Also, my sound doesn't work at all. I got kernel panic when I tried the Voodoo HDA kext. Any help with these would be great Thanks
