I have a vaio RA840G which has an Intel 945P Express chipset.


I've been using the Mac.OS.X.Tiger.10.4.6.X86-HOTiSO

I go into VMware and I'm able to make it  format my usb drive in af (leaving me 111 gigs for osx.)

I've installed it two times so far with this method. The first time I selected to only install the sse3 option (plus the required option for intel.) With the chain0 method I got it to boot but it stayed on the apple logo and the circle with the slash came up.

The second time I installed all like before, plus the sse2. The same thing happend.

So, does anyone know what I should do next?

Just to make it clear, I'm only installing it in vmware. I'm trying to boot it with the chain0 method.

The white background and apple logo come up, but then the circle with the line over it appears.



Here are my specs from zdnet. The only thing different is that I have an ati x800 xl 256.

Also wanted to say that I've tried to install it by just booting the dvd but it will not see my drive. I posted a previous thread about that. I've tried making it logical, etc.

I have got it to work within vmware, but that's the only way as of now.
