zemmo
I managed to install to internal hdd :D The key to success was to put your intel sata kext and fake smc kext, and put uuid number under kernel flags in boot plist. Now it boots without any error but now i have the other problem. My 9600 GT doesn't work. I injected efi string itro boot plist but it doesn't work, strange because it worked on my other pc with that string. Maybe its something in my DSDT?? Current kexts installed in extra folder are: PlatformUUID Fakesmc AppleIntelPIIXATA you provided OpenHaltRestart NullCPUPowerManagment. What seems to be a problem here? oldnapalm
Nice! How did you put the uuid in kernel flags? (UUID=...?) About nVidia, I use <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>y</string> in com.apple.Boot.plist
zemmo
Sorry for not replying,I've been busy. I injected uuid in kernel flags via Lizard app for chameleon. I have problem. Again! I used graphic injector and the graphics works fine but it freezes at blue screen right after system boot. So i runned the -v command and saw i got some USBEHCI errors and i used the ehci fix via lizard app. But this is interesting. The system manages to boot and loads the finder completely, and i see the dock and full desktop, but it freezes and i only can move the mouse, nothing else reacts. Maybe its my dsdt?? zemmo
I managed to solve my problem via IOPCIFamily kext from here: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?...entry3613 Finally i have a working snow leopard! Thank you for you help, without your help i wouldn't manage to do this!!!!! Now i just gotta make my alc662 work so i can get rid of usb audio ;)
oldnapalm
You're welcome, I'm glad you sorted it out. Did you try VoodooHDA for the ALC662? There's also this legacy kext by tmongkol, use with DSDT patch or enabler kext.
zemmo
Thanks for kexts i will try them out! I have some issues with AppleUSBEHCI. Sometimes system wont boot and it gives me an error : AppleUSBEHCI: unable to initialize UIM. I found some DSDT patches and i will try them out. Also my sleep, restart and shutdown doesn't work,so i need to play with that also. But the system is very fast, and upgraded to 10.6.2 without any modifications, just with for 10.6.2 sleepenabler
zemmo
Okay this is the situation. I used IOPCIFamily.kext from here - http://www.kexts.com/view/101-iopcifamily....snow_32-64.html and it sometimes can boot to my system sometimes doesn't,but i need to but with -v flag. Sometimes it gives me a appleusbehci unable to initialize uim error. I seen theres a USB EHCi fix via dsdt but i cant apply it.It always gives me an error. Can you look and fix my dsdt?? And system doesn't see my DVD ROM. Also my sleep/restart/shutdown doesn't work. I attached my dsdt below!! EDIT: DVD Room seems to work now...LOL dsdt.aml.zip
oldnapalm
Send me the link to the USB patch you want to apply to DSDT. Chameleon's USB fixes don't help? About reset/shutdown, are you using OpenHaltRestart.kext? About sleep, need more details, what happens when you put PC to sleep? (fans are turned off? wakes immediately? etc.) DVD drive is IDE? Is it connected to same controller as HD?
zemmo
Send me the link to the USB patch you want to apply to DSDT. Chameleon's USB fixes don't help? About reset/shutdown, are you using OpenHaltRestart.kext? About sleep, need more details, what happens when you put PC to sleep? (fans are turned off? wakes immediately? etc.) DVD drive is IDE? Is it connected to same controller as HD? The following hack is in the attachment. Its from DSDTSE editor. Many user reported that it works but i don't know. Chameleon fixes doesn't work. Regarding restart. When i don't use any kext, when i reboot system the black screen appears with a few lines of code and then disappears. I think that is fakesmc lines. Seems that system tries to reboot but it can't. When i use openhalrestart it logs out the finder and freezer at wallpaper. Sleep and shutdown is the same situation. I managed to get DVD to work with IOATAFamily.kext Im currently on 10.6.2 with stock 1.20.0 kernel with sleepenabler 10.6.2 This is my current kexts in /extra/extensions folder: -AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext -AppleIntelPIXATA.kext -fakesmc.kext -IOATAFamily.kext -NullCPUPowerManagment.kext -OpenHaltRestart.kext -SleepEnabler.kext -VoodooPS2Controller.kext USB_FIX.rtf
oldnapalm
Patched device ID of USB*, EHC* and IDE0. Also patched HDEF device, test with a legacy kext by tmongkol (use only a legacy kext, the enabler kext isn't necessary). dsdt.aml.zip
zemmo
Thanks for patching the DSDT but it doesn't work! zemmo
Okay this is the error with my DSDT,and like i said sometimes it wants to boot sometimes it hangs at this message: http://img196.imageshack.us/i/originalsystemerror.jpg/ This is a with your patched DSDT: http://img96.imageshack.us/i/patcheddsdt.jpg/ And this is a message that appears when i want to restart or shutdown, and my system restarts when i click "Shut Down"...crazy: http://img3.imageshack.us/i/restartj.jpg/ And DVD is acting funny to. It recognizes him in system profiler but when in put DVD in it loads him for 5 minutes, and after that it recognized him as a blank disk...I have SATA DVD device...here's a system profiler pic: http://img64.imageshack.us/i/dvdsystemprofiles.jpg/ My current /extra /extensions kexts: AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext fakesmc.kext VoodooPS2Controller.kext
oldnapalm
Did you try "UHCIreset=yes" in Chameleon? When you used the DSDT file I modified, were you using stock or modified IOPCIFamily? Anyway, I think the kernel panic is related to the IDE0 patch, so I removed it. Please test with this dsdt.aml.zip
zemmo
Okay, your patched DSDT with UHCIreset fix in chameleon works great! Even the audio with kext you requested works great!! Only things that is left is a reset and shutdown...it doesn't work even with OpenHaltRestart... And my DVD doesn't work...recognized and everything but i wont read DVD's... EDIT: It doesn't work...i thought it works but it don't...still same errors...damn...
