Ever wanted to play Guild Wars on your Mac without paying for other software?Well it's now possible and you only have to download my version instead.

New Guild Wars port for Mac OS X v1.2.2 & 1.3.14 Fullscreen

This time I have build 2 versions of this game one that has the stable version (1.2.2) of Wine and one using the cutting edge (1.3.14) version of it.This I do cause in the latest version there might be some regression with Guild Wars and might not work as good as the stable version for some others but you have that to check that out for your own.Further more this time I have not included the game files anymore so you have to copy it from your PC into the GuildWars.app file.Further details and instruction are located in the Readme.txt file that comes along with the download or on my site.Further more all older builds from me are discontinued and no longer online since the latest build is much more stable. To get your hands on the build please use the download link below...enjoy :D

- Intel-based Mac ( sorry PPC folks )

- Mac OS 10.5 or higher

- NVidia or ATI GPU ( Intel-based may work but is very slow and not tested )

- Sound card ( CoreAudio enabled by default )

- Keyboard & Mouse ( Windows type based are supported )

- Internet connection ( Firewall may prompt during first run )

To get your hands on this game please click the link below. After you have it please read the readme file first!

Guild Wars 1.2.2 : download

Guild Wars 1.3.14 : download

Wine comes to the rescue once again. crossover can to the same thing as they are using wine to play most (some) of windows games. Either way thnx for hard work, going to try it see how its going to play on my system....any issues with full screen?

Well thanks for trying out my version and indeed Crossover uses Wine as well but they made some changes on their own.But the reason why I build my own version of Guild Wars is that now you won't have to buy software or any other programs to play this game like emulation apps and Crossover as well.

Anyway on my system I can't get fullscreen to work so I had to change the setting to window mode and it's set as defualt when you are running this game for the first time. But when you fire up the game you can change the resolution to your own needs and try different settings. But just to say things up ahead it may crash from time to time when you change things allot within the options menu of the game itself and it will depend as well on what type of hardware you are running this game on.

Well anyway if you have comments or bugs or what so ever feel free to post them on my blog as well on this forum....

You still have to pay one time to make an account right? My uncle gave me his account a long time ago and I recall him saying something about that

Your correct indeed, you have to buy the game in order to get an activation key to activate your account but afterwards you can play this game without any subscription for free.

Well I think there would be a way indeed but this ain't the thread to talk about it.You could start your own thread and maybe someone has already achieved it to run that game on a Mac.... ;)

Lineage 2 supposedly is usable in Wine... so it should be possible to make a wrapper for it.... if no one has done it yet, you could try it out yourself.
