Some help for a OSx86 noob

Hello,

 

I'm deciding to give this another shot, but wanted your guys opinion before dig in.  I was hoping I could be guided in the right direction with what version to install with my specific hardware.  I have been looking through the wiki at the installation guides and hardware compatibility lists, but I still don't really know where to start.  Anyones help is highly appreciated!  Here are my specs by the way.

 

MOBO: EVGA 141-BL-E757-TR X58 SLI LE

 

CPU: Intel Core i7-920 @ 3.2GHz

 

RAM: Corsair XMS3 6GB

 

Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4890

 

Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer

 

Hard Drive(s): 2x Western Digital 640GB Caviar Black in Raid0
