I was just wondering if anyone has had any success installing Mac OS X 10.4.8 and the AppleTV frontrow (2.1 or later) on their AppleTV? And if the remote, and more importantly, the universal remote learning functionality still works? Reason I ask is I'm trying to figure out how to activate the universal remote feature in the receiver (for a Linux project I'm working on), but I can't get the USB logging kexts to work under the ATV OS which I require to see which magic packet is being sent to the receiver to activate it. But I'm having zero luck getting Front Row to start up under 10.4.8, so I was wondering if it was at all possible (and working with the universal remote thing).
