CharredPC
I have a unique problem! After successfully transplanting an internal iSight into my Acer Extensa, it works perfectly in OSX... but Windows 7 (64-bit) obviously doesn't have a driver for it (though it does see it fine as "Internal iSight"). A 64-bit Vista driver would probably work fine as well. The only driver I found which might work is here, but I can't try it thanks to the complete suck which is Rapidshare. Anyone have an *.inf or method to get it functional? Many thanks in advance!
booger_sniffer5000
I reuploaded the file from that rapidshare link (only the iSight installer though) http://www.mediafire.com/?ymnfnnjwzyw
CharredPC
I reuploaded the file from that rapidshare link (only the iSight installer though) http://www.mediafire.com/?ymnfnnjwzyw Thanks, I tried installing that driver (from 2007) and it appeared to install fine... however, the iSight doesn't seem to actually work (won't open in Paint as a capture device, for instance). Guess I'm still looking for a (newer?) driver.
CharredPC
Thanks, I tried installing that driver (from 2007) and it appeared to install fine... however, the iSight doesn't seem to actually work (won't open in Paint as a capture device, for instance). Guess I'm still looking for a (newer?) driver. Turns out Paint won't open it only because the drivers are not MS Certified. I installed the 2009 iSight bootcamp x64 drivers, and Skype uses it perfectly! So I've solved it myself. Good to know that my iSight mod is Windows - compatible
