Is there any reason for me to install OS on my PC?

I hate them commercials. John Hodgman charmingly plays the PC while the Mac guy is a pretentious {censored} dickwad. After just seeing one I googled for this site with the thought of installing OS X on my PC just to spite them.

I mainly use my computer for games, the internet, and watching pornography. Is there any reason for me to fool around with the mac software other than hatred and novelty?

No

Though I do remeber someone telling why I spent all that time braking my computer installing an operating system desgined for another, but I've forgotten.

Edit. Dose that sound bitter, I did fix it and guess had a bit of fun learning things I know nothing about, just missed out on a lot of porn

What's wrong with the commercials, I love them ecpecially Justin Long he is SOOO HOT!!!

Give OS X a try you will never know if you like it unless you try it. The OS would not have been around for this long if it was not a good OS. All you have to lose is a little bit of your time.

I want to make porn with Justin Long

Most definitely and throw in Scott Mechlowicz for a threesome

We should get back on topic, this is not the place for this

Just find a spare hard drive to test with so you don't mess with your main drive. Even if you don't like Mac you can at least say you learn something new, knowledge is power

aaah you said his name like he was "somebody". i thought he was just a generic commercial actor. but he was in the fairly good entertaining horror movie Jeepers Creepers. :graduated:

now who is the other guy? is he a real actor as well?

and by the way, i also think the commercials seem smart assed. on the other hand, i'm so sensitive to insult and injury, i can't watch Comedy Central. go figure.

there is no reason to fool around with computers at all unless you like doing it.

i had to see how OS X worked on PC, that was all there was to my decision. :tomato:

EDITED, cause i was shamed by gwprod12  yes, i'll stick by entertaining!

The other guy is John Hodgman. He is on the Daily Show every now and then and has this very funny lecture series called The Little Grey Book and with a podcast based on it. A girl dragged me to one of his shows a year ago and I had a great time.

Back to the original topic: Porn! I mean, OS X. I will try it out just to find out what a "widget" is.

Life is about new experiences...or at least they are a big component. Trying new things is [usually] good.

Not sure about the pr0n the freaks below are going on about, though.

I'm not into porn, but safari also has a "Private Browsing" mode which is essentially a "lets me watch porn while leaving no tracks" mode. Someone somewhere made a plugin that actually changes its name that.

Yes, it basically comes down to the fact that Windows sucks ass.

I'd pretty much agree with that. :)

But remember that most users have just used Windows for ages and are totally used to how it all works. So, just being slightly different is enough to make them go "OMG, I want my Windows back".

I hate to play the part of the Windows advocate but the one thing they would never mention in these commercials is video games. The last great made for Mac game was Ultima V or maybe Marathon. Ports don't count. So, for my priorities OS X probably sucks more ass than a fluid vacuum for proctological surgery.

Anyways, I think I will try emulating OS X on a virtual machine before I bother installing it.
