Wailord
Sad to say I've got the same deal going on. It shows up in System Profiler, but iTunes refuses to mount it and it won't charge, either. I decided to try out an iPod nano, and it shows up - and iTunes tells me it's a USB 1.1 port, which it's certainly not. Tried multiple ports. All other USB devices work - HDs, cameras, wireless adapters, etc. Makes no sense. Hopefully someone can figure it out.

Tamed G
I'm still having iPhone problems even with this kext installed. iPhone 3GS shows in the system profiler but never in iTunes, tried a few different USB kexts which are all supposed to solve the problem but no joy. Same story with my iPad 3GS too.

Tamed G
I found my solution in a bios update, installing the newest update for my laptop's motherboard seemed to clear up any USB problems I had. Thinking back my iPhone was always a bit flakey with Windows on this machine so the Bios update may have been long over due for my USB functionality. iKappa
This Kext does not work for me. By installing it I wasn't able to use USB Mice and Keyboards untill I changed the setting in the BIOS to "Yes" under the voice "plug n play OS". At all I've found another one that works fine for my Iphone 3GS under Itunes 10, even with the 3.1.3 jailbroken firmware. It is called: IOUSBFamily-378 2.pkg google for it you will surely find it. Ops my config is: Intel i5 750 4 GB Kingston HyperX Nvidia Geforce 210 Asus P7P55D EVO runnning SL 10.6.4 installed with ##### + multihbeast mode
Acer 5810T
WOOOOOO! Finally fixed the only issue with my Hackintosh! I installed this with Kext Helper, and BAM, iPhone syncs and charges! GREAT!! Thank you, man!!! This worked fine for me too, I was doubtful if to try or not since I had lot of problems with USB, but now I see the iPhone, it charges battery and iTunes connects fine. Tethering Internet through the iPhone needs to be tested. My build is: Acer Aspire 5810T with 4 gb RAM 360 HD, Video Intel GMA 4500 HD with iAtkos S3 (v1) Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Of course I checked all my old usb devices (including Huawei UMTS key) and everything goes. Thank you so much
Shayanzade
The "fix" works, iPhone is recognised, but now the volume buttons on my keyboard and middle click on my mouse aren't supported, also for some reason my system volume is lower then usual. Already spent years googling, so frustrating
