kalel83
So I have found people with a CMI8738 drivers in osx, which dosn't work for xonar dx in osx since the card is PCIe not PCI Linux Ubuntu has drivers for CMI8788 - Xonar DX built right in. Yes, linux has it, and has had the driver for several years now. Why is there not one for OSX yet? Can someone port that to OSX Snow? From what I've read, there is a px to pci bridge that has to be written in(going on memory here, it was something like that), as the xonar dx in PCIe, and the CMI8738 drivers for osx are built for PCI. currently I am using the ALC880 embedded for osx, and the xonar dx in linux and win7, with the alc880 disabled through device manager. ALC880 dosn't have optical, which is what i use on the Xonar DX> How hard is it to port a linux driver to osx. is there allready one available for xonar dx in osx snow? I have to activate my onboard soundcard to use it instead of my PCI soundcard.
