X1600 hd3650 hd4850 SL quandry

3orrists did kindly make a fixed x1600 fix for SL. Works great! No straight answers on hd3650 for SL. Compute shaders or some {censored}. Netkas has bigger fish to fry with the 57's and 58's. It seems as though many have instructions for hd4850, including Netkas, but 0 work for me. I've tried evoenabler, graphics enabler in com.apple.Boot.plist, ati.4800 controller kext add device ID, and a few other permutations. In my search, I came across various statements about non-ati radeon 4850's. But not alot of people failing with non-ati radeons, just the inability to flash with apple ID. Is there anyone who can definitively say a visiontek 4850 won't work in SL? My x1600's work and aren't even paired or ATI. I'd return my 4850, but want to keep trying as x1600 in win7 isn't particularly spectacular.

P.S. Sometimes I can get an about this mac screen on safe boot, which says ATI Radeon HD 4850:

But, When I attempt to boot regularly, in -v I get 4800 controller kext won't load, the only modification I did was add device ID, don't know just seems off
