james2mart
Where can I get started learning to port device drivers from BSD to OS X/Darwin? I know that OS X runs similarly to BSD, but i want to know where to start the learning curve. A functional open-source driver has been released for the 3945abg wireless chipset and i wanted to figure out if it could be ported to OS X easier than a linux driver that relies on the binary from intel... NeSuKuN
You should start learning about iokit, It appears to be the interface for osx drivers or a kind of sdk for it, I don't know what exactly is but good luck on your quest xD
