n8dog62 Posted December 5, 2009 Share Posted December 5, 2009 Ok, I just bought a 2TB external harddrive. It is currently formated FAT32. I am about to start building a hackintosh system for Final Cut/editing use. My question is how do I format this external drive so that I can access the files on both the windows and mac boots. Do I have to partition? I would prefer not to. I am planning on getting a solid state drive for the Mac boot, and using my SATA drive for the PC end. I just want the external to be able to read and write to both mac and pc. And I dont particularly want that pesky 4 gig limit. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
