meisterk Posted June 20, 2006 Share Posted June 20, 2006 Hello, I built my new Hackintosh for the sole purpose of using FCP and it crashes on startup I carefully chose compatible components: I have QE / CI working with a Gigabyte ATI Radeon X1600 pro Full specs: Asus A8N5X nForce4 chipset AMD 64 3200+ with SSE3 2X512 Corsair Gigabyte GV-RX16P256D-RH X1600 Pro Weird thing is that System Information lists a second display adapter. meisterk Posted June 20, 2006 Author Share Posted June 20, 2006 I forgot to say that I'm using 10.4.5 kext's for my ATI as using the Boris fix on the ones that came with the JaS 10.4.6 DVD gave me a black screen with a mouse pointer... anyone experiencing the same problems? meisterk Posted June 21, 2006 Author Share Posted June 21, 2006 UPDATE Ok so I reinstalled with Goatsecx 10.4.6 DVD but staying under 10.4.5 Everything works except HDV playback, I get a green screen instead of the movie clip. meisterk Posted June 22, 2006 Author Share Posted June 22, 2006 *RESOLVED* (almost) FCP 5.1 / Pro Apps work with QE/CI enabled on Goatsecx 10.4.6 DVD with Ati X1600 Pro.
