gwprod12
I'm curious. Who do people who do the FreeIpods/etc things think is paying for the iPods they're getting? There's no such thing as a free lunch; sure, it might be free to you, but someone is ultimately paying the cost.
Colonel
I've never done it, but I think the cost is really split between you and the other people that complete the referrals. You're not paying for the item directly, but you are paying other companies when you complete a referral and then they pay whoever you are getting the "free" item from. gwprod12
Actually, most of the cost of the item you're getting, or referring to is the cost of your personal information that is being sold to information gathering companies. The money is ultimately paid by companies that sell your Name, Address, Phone Number, in some cases Social Security Number, etc... I think really, you could probably get a lot more than a measely ipod if you just contacted those places directly and sold your soul, instead of a piece at a time.
