another_earthling Posted August 6, 2006 Share Posted August 6, 2006 I saw this google search in reverse about one year back Such sites are called "mirror sites" to bypass internet censorship and still be able to reach people with the info they want. And no...its not suppose to be for fun...its meant for something very serious It allows users in china and other places where they have put censorship on the internet to search freely and get the any information you want. For example if you are in china and go to www.google.cn the official google homepage of china and search for democracy then that search term wont give you any results in china since its banned by the government.
