undergraphic Posted November 28, 2009 Share Posted November 28, 2009 Hi to everybody, I bought a WD velociraptor (10.000 rpm) and a highpoint rocketraid 2302 card with a 3gb/s bus because I was thinking to upgrade my OSX in a cheapy way. Unfortunately when I installed the card on my Dual Core G5 (late 2005) I noticed that my controller is not recognized by the system but needs to be installed before continue using it. The result is that the velociraptor doesn't works as booting device using that bus. I just can use it in a default bus loosing half of is bus speed because the G5 have 1.5gb/s and rocketraid 2302 have a 3gb/s bus speed. Is there a system to make recognizable (i.e. by the OS bios if exists) the card and make the velociraptor bootable by OS? Thanks in advance for all your advice.
