Due to my broke college student-ness, I was going to buy a Dell mini 10v and put OS X since I don't have the money for a mac. I recently read on cnet that Intel is releasing their newer Pine Trail Atom processors within the next few weeks and was wondering if you guys think that someone will try to get OS X to work on those. The n450 is faster and has better power consumption, so I would rather wait if I could, but I only need it for OS X. The Pine Trail has the CPU and graphical functionality on the same chip, so I didn't know if it was possible. I did notice, however, that the Dell mini 10 is not compatible to be a hackintosh computer due to the graphics chipset it has in it, which is why I was forced to look at the mini 10v's. Tell me what you guys think, should I just stick with the 10v? Or will someone definitely create support for this new family of processors? Thanks guys! There is a kernel (snow legacy or legacy snow) that the creator claims will boot a toaster. The 3150 is an adaptation of the 3100 that worked, so I'd love to know for sure if it can work. These new machines are quite a bit better number-wise (yeah they're still very slow!) than the Atom+GMA950 combo, and I like my Eee PC a lot... Maybe hex-edit the X3100 compatible drivers to accept the X3150 graphics adapter? Take a look at NighTalon's very short script (27ae something, I believe) that does this for the Intel 950 drivers so the 945 chipset so common on netbooks is accepted.
