JRL.Crist
I'm trying to update my 10.4.3 Intel installation to 10.4.6, but when I get to the part where you select where to install it, it says the following: You cannot install Mac OS X Combined (Intel) on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update. The first obvious questions is whether or not I have the correct volume selected. The simple answer is yes. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, has anyone found a way around it?
Rammjet
If you are attempting to apply Apple's 10.4.6 updater to your existing Hackintosh 10.4.3 installation, you are in for one heap of trouble. You must install a new Hackintosh installation to get 10.4.6. You can update most apps, but not the system that way. But if you are on a standard Intel Mac and you get this error, not sure, but you are also in a heap of trouble.
