Quick question - ive just got a new macbook pro, and i've heard on the grapevine that there are some developments in getting the apple remote to be used as a transport controller for Logic.

Anyone heard about this or have any more info?

Sorry to anyone expecting a reply from me on the Logic crack topic, but im not around my hackintosh at the moment so i can't really play around with anything. Ill get to it as soon as i'm back home though i promise :D

YES! ive done it, the program you use is called mira, and you can assign the remote buttons to do what ever keystroke combo you want, inside any application. the demo lets you use up to three application settings, so its more than enough just for logic. i use mine to switch up and down channels and to record, stop return to zero and im currently trying to find a way to individually arm/disarm tracks all that took me about 10 mins to figure out so its not rocket science :dance_24:

Oh my god. Mira is amazing! Anyone who reads this with a macbook and apple remote NEEDS this app!

I've managed to map it to control my ENTIRE macbook pro...

and it only costs $16!!

Hell yeah! Thats definitely the {censored} . I found this cool program called iAlertU , which functions as a car alarm for your macbook and even takes a picture of the person who tried to violate your privacy. I have a feeling that things are just getting started with this little remote. Too bad mine dies 6 days after i got it lol.
