Parallels vs. Crossover, problem with counter-strike source specifically

Hi guys, this question may have been asked before and i have looked but couldnt find it.

The issue i have is, i have Parallels Desktop 3 installed for running a few windows apps, but mainly for Steam and Counter Strike. CS 1.6, condition zero, and CZ Deleted Scenes work, but nothing Source based will work, ie; HL2, CS: S or Lost Coast or Deathmatch.

But the Source games will work through Crossover. I would prefer they run through parallels as a couple of other windows apps i use i find useful and do not want to have seperate software just for the Source games as i think its a bit annoying.

The reason i don't run a later version of Parallels Desktop is that when i installed it and tried to install XP Pro onto it, it gave me an error message. I admit that i can't quite remember what that error message was, but no amount of googling provided an answer so i thought i'd try and older version.

So, the old HL games will run in parallels (also run quite well, no lag or issues) but the Source games will mot. I currently have a ticket open with Steam, but because i'm running from a Mac platform i think they are gonna tell me to bugger off and get a proper windows pc!

Any ideas people?
