Just to let you guys know: Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz GMA 950 2GB RAM Snow Leopard 10.6.1 Everything was running like a top until about an hour ago, when I deployed the update. It seemed to update fine, however it failed to boot back up after doing the update. Chameleon RC2 showed up, but no boot up strings seem to allow me to continue into 10.6.2. But now it goes to a black screen and just hangs, I have to manually power off and back on again.... I'm using openhaltrestart.kext - should I be trying something else? This vanilla install worked fine on 10.6.1 ----- EDIT ----- I deleted the gfx strings from com.apple.boot.plist and I can now boot in VESA mode with 10.6.2 So I assume that my hex string is bad. Download and install update-got initial KP 3. Boot 10.6.2 using the backup kernel. 4. Once booted restore the kernel. 5. Just removed the old SleepEnabler.kext from /Extra/Extensions, updated, then put the new one back in /Extra/Extensions. Everything is working as before (have not tested sleep yet).
