don.key Posted November 1, 2009 Share Posted November 1, 2009 Hi Folks, I have two Apple 2008 Mac Pros with the single quad core 2.8Ghz CPU, one has 8800 GT and another HD 2600 card. I also have a Hackintosh with: GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L Q9550 4x 2.833GHz, FSB1333 Asus GTX260 Gfx Board Both units run 10.6.1, the Hackintosh is booted using chameleon + PC EFI 10.5 + EFI String. The GTX260 is properly detected (system profiler) and accelerated (screen savers, expose speed and so on). In xBench, the Hackintosh has a edge over the Mac Pro in all benchmarks except GFX, there the picture is: Quartz Graphics: HD 2600 = 267.38 8800 GT = 228.11 GTX 260 = 211.92 OpenGL: HD 2600 = 113.08 8800 GT = 144.58 GTX 260 = 94.90 User Interface: HD 2600 = 347.09 8800 GT = 343.08 GTX 260 = 390.77 Is that really normal?
