Okey so I have a Popcorn Hour with a 1TB internal hard drive which have the ext3 file system. I plugged it into my computer and I could see it in the Disk Utility, I then pressed the "put it on desktop" button.

When I did that I got a message that I have to restart my computer. I couldn't move my mouse or anything, so it basically crashed. After the restart disk utility couldn't even find my drive anymore. I know that I maybe wouldn't be able to write/read it because it's ext3 but I was planning to install parallels with Windows XP and a ext2/3 driver (that would have worked, right?).

Now I can't see it at all, have tried other computers which it worked on before with no success. So that crash must have made something to the drive :( What's weird is that I still can watch my content if I plug it into my TV.

I know that I probably have to format the hard drive, but I would really like to get out all my movies and TV-series from it first (800GB, takes a long time to collect  ). There has to be some way that I can get it out of there, because it don't seem to be damaged if I still can watch it.

I'm using Leopard 10.5.6 with the iPC final install!

My System:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750

Gigabyte DS3 P35

Corsair 520W

Nvidia 8800GT 512mb

2x Corsair DDR2 800MHz 1GB

Samsung 320GB

Western Digital 1TB

D-LINK DWA-547 (for wireless internet)

Optical drive (don't know the specifications, but it's kinda new)

Maybe this question is better to ask at the NMT forums (I'll probably do that too), but I thought that you maybe knew some way to do this!

Thanks in advance!
