DrivinWest
I'm in a bind. I've got a 4.38GB file on my PowerBook G4 that I need to put on my Windows XP machine. As far as I know, the only file system that both OS X and Windows XP will read/write in common is FAT32. Alas, FAT32 has a file size limitation of 4GB - not enough. Can anybody suggest a means of getting my big file from my Mac to my PC?
NeSuKuN
haven't you tried to use samba(windows folder/printer sharing)? You have many options if you have LAN: FTP IM send file Remote desktop drive mounting and much more..
DrivinWest
Never heard of it but I'll give it a shot. Many thanks. EDIT: Cool. I just made a 10GB NTFS partition on my external hard drive, copied the file to it with the help of Samba, and transferred it straight to my PC. Sweet! Thanks again.
