non sequitur Posted June 9, 2006 Share Posted June 9, 2006 well, i have the 100 gig hard drive that came with my macbook pro. i have it currently partitioned to a little over 30 gigs for xp and a little more than 60 gigs for osx. i have about 20 gigs free on my HFS+ partition and about 1 or 2 gigabytes left on my xp partition. i dont have enough free space to re-partition or add a new partition. i want to use the public beta of windows vista. i want to write it onto my xp partition, but i do not want to lose my data. first off, can my dx9 games run under vista? if so, what drivers would i use? next, if i instaled vista, would i lose all of my data even though i am not reformatting or re-partitioning? and last, would i just be better off waiting until the retail vista or should i abandon xp and go the way of vista?
