Lambodrifter Posted October 21, 2009 Share Posted October 21, 2009 Hi all I recently installed Leopard 10.5.6 onto my Gateway P-6860FX using iPC. It boots up fine, but the entire OS is extremely sluggish and slow. When I open the about window, it claims my 2.5 C2D T9300 is an "unknown" 300mhz processor. It also seems to ignore my 8800m GTS as well as my wireless. I installed what seemed to be the proper drivers on installation, but I'm not having much luck. Is there anything I can do, or should I try a different distro? Specs: Gateway P-6860 FX laptop Dual boot of Windows 7 Ultimate 7100 RC and (crippled) Leopard 10.5.6 4 GB of RAM Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 @ 2.5 GHz nVidia 8800m GTS 512 IDT Hi def audio Intel 49-something wireless Running leopard on its own separate HDD Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
