What excat is modified to orig ?
.plist edited
and / or also code changes (recompiled).

If "only" .plist changes would be fine to put in an codebox for showing.
I like such showcases much more than to download unknown .kext if i only have to  change some .plist.
Also users can much more learn by that way then doenload whole .kext but dont know whats changed.

I installed this and am hoping that it will keep the random periods of the spinning cursor and unresponsiveness go away.  Before I installed this SL didn't recognize my SATA controller but now it recognized just fine.

I've had an uptime of almost three days and haven't had a single problem with SL just randomly freezing.  I do believe that this fixed my problems with the spinning beach ball of death.  Thanks for the kext!

The original kext posted in this thread doesn't work with 10.6.2 and Apple has updated it, which makes my drives revert back to Unknown AHCI.  I have modified the one from 10.6.2 and included it in this post.  Credit still goes to MacNutty for modifying the original and providing me with the info needed to fix the updated kext.
