issue with installing SL using the noobies guide?

so the boot cd works.... when i swap to SL disk the process starts but comes to a halt after the following string:

 

acpi_smc_platformplugin::start - waitforservice(resourcematching(AppleintelCPUpowermanagement) timed out

 

how can i get past this?
