Sleep problem (32 bit mode on)

Hey. I was working on a hackintosh for last half year and I was so glad that I've decided to buy a new MacBook Pro.

Well. I've decided to migrate my user account from Hackintosh, I just had too much data. Everything was OK, but I had one small problem - MBP was hanging on every sleep (monitor off, sleep LED was non-stop bright, like on sleeped display, hard drive was still spinning).

I've thought it might be some rare Leo problem, so I've upgraded to Snow Leo. Nothing has changed.

I've tried to uninstall programs, like iStats - people were saying it might be the problem. But in my case - nothing happend.

So now best of all - I've tried to run Snow Leo in 64 bit and... Sleep is working like a charm.

Well, it's almost perfect, but it isn't - sometimes I use Vmware to virualize my bootcamp partition or play cider games - vmware still doesn't run 64 bits, clear - but why cider games are crashing - I have no idea.

So to make it clear: Do you have any idea why I have those problems with sleep on 32 bit mode? And are your cider games (like Heroes V, C&C 3) are working fine on 64 bits or it's rather normal for them to crash?

my specs: uMBP late 2008, 2.4 GHZ / 2GB RAM / 250GB HDD / 9600GT

Thanks for any help :)

EDIT: By the way, about all those pram resets and so on - I've tried this already :)
