relikwie Posted October 15, 2009 Share Posted October 15, 2009 Hi, downloaded the golden master dmg, burned onto a dual layer dvd. booted with SLBOOT cd, then placed snow leopard install dvd, press F5, press enter and the installation begins; I partition the drive and hit install - all is well and fine. but at 15% of the installation process the system just restarts, tried it twice and same thing happened. now, what I find odd is that after the reboot my BIOS gives a checksum error and I need to load the last known good config. I have the this is due to SLBOOT cd (with chameleon RC3). created an image of the installation dvd to test if it could be read 100%. and it can. what kind of installation alternatives are there to try?
