Schala
I've been trying to set up a ZFS RAID in Snow Leopard (buggy and stagnant as the project is, it's still better than the alternatives). I'm working with 12 disks in the RAID, plus the boot disk, plus 0-6 other disks (externals, flash, etc). What's driving me insane is that every time I boot, every disk is assigned to a seemingly random node in the dev tree (/dev/disk0, /dev/disk1, etc). There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. My boot disk isn't even consistently numbered. Linux, though, repeatedly shows exactly what I expect. Is it possible to "hard code" a UUID to disk0, disk1, etc? I'm using Chameleon 2.0RC3, but I didn't see anything like that in the documentation. Also, hi. First post here, though I've been lurking since my Tiger hackintosh.
